About this policy
This policy explains how ShellyTots Preschool & Long Day Care (“ShellyTots”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through shellytots.com.au. We are located at 41 Stanley Street, St Ives NSW 2075, service approval number SE-00008977.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Information about enrolled children and families is handled under our separate privacy and confidentiality policy, available on request.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the forms on this website:
- Tour requests: your name, phone, email, and optionally your child’s first name and date of birth, the program you’re interested in, your preferred tour time, how you heard about us and any message.
- Wait list: your name, phone and email, your child’s first name and date of birth, your preferred start month and days, whether a sibling attends, and how you heard about us.
- School readiness checklist: your first name (optional) and email.
- Share your story: your name, email, your child’s room and your story.
If you call or email us, we also keep the details you give us in that conversation.
How we use it
- to arrange and confirm your tour
- to manage your wait list application and contact you when a place is available
- to give you the checklist you asked for
- to answer your questions
- to publish your story, only if you gave permission
We don’t sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Where it is stored
When you send a form on this website, it’s received by our website host, Netlify, and emailed to our office at admin@shellytots.com.au. Netlify may store this information on servers outside Australia. You can read Netlify’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
We then record your details on paper, which is kept securely at the centre. Only our Director and office staff can see them.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this website, for example which pages are visited and whether a form was sent. It uses cookies and collects information such as your browser, device and approximate location. It does not tell us who you are.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Read Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Google Maps
Our map only loads from Google when you choose “Load Google Map”. Until then, no information is sent to Google. Once loaded, Google’s own privacy policy applies.
Stories and photos
We only publish a family’s story or words with their permission, and we only show photos of children whose parents have given consent. If you’d like your story or a photo removed, contact us and we’ll take it down.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as we need them to manage your tour request, wait list application or enquiry. If your child enrols, your information becomes part of their enrolment records, which we look after under our separate privacy and confidentiality policy.
You can ask us to remove your details at any time by calling (02) 9988 4299 or emailing admin@shellytots.com.au.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us on (02) 9988 4299 or admin@shellytots.com.au.
